Leadership Verses
Servant leadership as modeled by Christ — wisdom for those called to lead.
For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also {he that is} born in his kingdom becometh poor.
Moreover the profit of the earth is for all: the king {himself} is served by the field.
Better {is} the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this {is} also vanity and vexation of spirit. {than...: Heb. than the walking of the soul}
Also take no heed unto all words that are spoken; lest thou hear thy servant curse thee: {take...: Heb. give not thine heart}
I {counsel thee} to keep the king's commandment, and {that} in regard of the oath of God.
Where the word of a king {is, there is} power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?

I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.
Woe to thee, O land, when thy king {is} a child, and thy princes eat in the morning!
