Peace Verses
The peace that surpasses all understanding — finding God's calm in life's storms.
But if the unbelieving depart, let him depart. A brother or a sister is not under bondage in such {cases}: but God hath called us to peace. {to peace: Gr. in peace}
And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come. {condemnation: or, judgment}
If {any thing} be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.
For God is not {the author} of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. {confusion: Gr. tumult, or, unquietness}
{There are} also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial {is} one, and the {glory} of the terrestrial {is} another.
Let no man therefore despise him: but conduct him forth in peace, that he may come unto me: for I look for him with the brethren.
Grace {be} to you and peace from God our Father, and {from} the Lord Jesus Christ.
I had no rest in my spirit, because I found not Titus my brother: but taking my leave of them, I went from thence into Macedonia.
For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled on every side; without {were} fightings, within {were} fears.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, {even} your perfection. {perfection: or, reformation, or, restoration}
Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.
