Strength Verses

And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day {is} a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and {there is} not strength to bring forth. {blasphemy: or, provocation}

Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded; they were {as} the grass of the field, and {as} the green herb, {as} the grass on the housetops, and {as corn} blasted before it be grown up. {of small...: Heb. short of hand}

And he carried away all Jerusalem, and all the princes, and all the mighty men of valour, {even} ten thousand captives, and all the craftsmen and smiths: none remained, save the poorest sort of the people of the land.

And he carried away Jehoiachin to Babylon, and the king's mother, and the king's wives, and his officers, and the mighty of the land, {those} carried he into captivity from Jerusalem to Babylon. {officers: or, eunuchs}

And all the men of might, {even} seven thousand, and craftsmen and smiths a thousand, all {that were} strong {and} apt for war, even them the king of Babylon brought captive to Babylon.

And the sons of Tola; Uzzi, and Rephaiah, and Jeriel, and Jahmai, and Jibsam, and Shemuel, heads of their father's house, {to wit}, of Tola: {they were} valiant men of might in their generations; whose number {was} in the days of David two and twenty thousand and six hundred.

And their brethren among all the families of Issachar {were} valiant men of might, reckoned in all by their genealogies fourscore and seven thousand.
