So that all which fell that day of Benjamin were twenty and five thousand men that drew the sword; all these {were} men of valour.
And this {is} the thing that ye shall do, Ye shall utterly destroy every male, and every woman that hath lain by man. {hath lain...: Heb. knoweth the lying with man}
And they said, {There must be} an inheritance for them that be escaped of Benjamin, that a tribe be not destroyed out of Israel.

And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.
And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, {or} to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people {shall be} my people, and thy God my God: {Intreat...: or, Be not against me}
Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, {if ought} but death part thee and me.
And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field {belonging} unto Boaz, who {was} of the kindred of Elimelech. {hap...: Heb. hap happened}
{Let} thine eyes {be} on the field that they do reap, and go thou after them: have I not charged the young men that they shall not touch thee? and when thou art athirst, go unto the vessels, and drink of {that} which the young men have drawn.
And Boaz said unto her, At mealtime come thou hither, and eat of the bread, and dip thy morsel in the vinegar. And she sat beside the reapers: and he reached her parched {corn}, and she did eat, and was sufficed, and left.
And when she was risen up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, Let her glean even among the sheaves, and reproach her not: {reproach...: Heb. shame her not}
