Blessings & Protection Verses
God's favor, divine protection, and abundant blessings promised to those who walk in His ways.
And a third part {shall be} at the gate of Sur; and a third part at the gate behind the guard: so shall ye keep the watch of the house, that it be not broken down. {that...: or, from breaking up}
And to the captains over hundreds did the priest give king David's spears and shields, that {were} in the temple of the LORD.
And the guard stood, every man with his weapons in his hand, round about the king, from the right corner of the temple to the left corner of the temple, {along} by the altar and the temple. {corner: Heb. shoulder}
And when Athaliah heard the noise of the guard {and} of the people, she came to the people into the temple of the LORD.
And he took the rulers over hundreds, and the captains, and the guard, and all the people of the land; and they brought down the king from the house of the LORD, and came by the way of the gate of the guard to the king's house. And he sat on the throne of the kings.
And the LORD was with him; {and} he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.

By thy messengers thou hast reproached the Lord, and hast said, With the multitude of my chariots I am come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon, and will cut down the tall cedar trees thereof, {and} the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the lodgings of his borders, {and into} the forest of his Carmel. {By: Heb. Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it.
And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they {were} all dead corpses.
And in the fifth month, on the seventh {day} of the month, which {is} the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzaradan, captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, unto Jerusalem: {captain...: or, chief marshal}
And all the army of the Chaldees, that {were with} the captain of the guard, brake down the walls of Jerusalem round about.
